et Finis

Christ the beginning and the end. These words, spoken during the Liturgy of Light, become a symbol of passage from darkness to light, from death to life.

"Christus principium et finis" is a sacred music concert tracing the events of the liturgical year. The expectant music of Advent and Christmas gives way to Lenten songs steeped in suffering, only to conclude with a joyful Easter Alleluia.

The repertoire is a kaleidoscope of Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and 20th–21st century music.
