Not Only Carols

Polish carols — atmospheric on one hand, rhythmic on the other, with strong folk music influences — are an extraordinarily rich source of inspiration.

Our repertoire features traditional melodies presented in new, original arrangements for vocal ensemble. The innovative arrangements are by young Polish composers:

Additionally, the vocal parts are enriched with the sounds of baroque instruments: violin, cello, and flauto traverso.

The Minimus carol repertoire also includes well-known carols of other nations, as well as Renaissance motets related to the Christmas season, by Tomás Luis de Victoria and Mikołaj Zieleński, among others.

The entire programme, enriched with atmospheric commentary, makes for a beautiful introduction to the extraordinary festive spirit.
