Wacław
Electroacoustic

Waclaw Electroacoustic / Contemporary composers on Wacław of Szamotuły is a cycle of three films combining the figure of Wacław of Szamotuły with electronic music. The film presentations introduce the Renaissance composer and his selected works, and most importantly, premiere new electroacoustic pieces inspired by his music.

The contemporary works are by young, award-winning Poznań composers: Konrad Handschuh, Jan Skorupa, and Marek Raczyński. The goal of the project is to bridge Polish Renaissance music with contemporary compositional and visual solutions.

The sound base for performances of both Wacław of Szamotuły's works and the contemporary compositions consists of recordings by the Poznań-based Minimus Vocal Ensemble.

The visual art was created by Paulina Wyrt and the collective Liquidacje.
